Film Workshop's Official Site - includes information in both Chinese and English on most of Tsui Hark's major films, some of Tsui's artwork, information on the latest films from Film Workshop, how to contact them, and more. It changes frequently, so bookmark it!

JOHN WOO/TSUI HARK SITES

The John Woo and Tsui Hark Action Web - well-designed site, includes excellent poster gallery and some multimedia

TSUI HARK FILM SITES:

The Official A Chinese Ghost Story: The Tsui Hark Animation Site - Includes complete songs, preproduction art, lots of graphics - highly recommended!
The Official Knock Off site - Includes some graphics, clips, and brief bios
The Official Time and Tide site - Small, but includes some worthwhile material
The Official Tri-Star site - Small, but with some good photos

TSUI HARK'S ACTORS:

The Leslie Cheung Internet Fan Club - An excellent site dedicated to the star of A Chinese Ghost Story, Tri-Star, and more. For a small membership fee (US$20, last time I checked), you can get access to even more Leslie Cheung material, including music videos, film clips and sound files.
The Official Jet Li Site - Appropriately enough, Jet Li's official site kicks some serious ass! Be forewarned - you'll need plug-ins to get the full impact, but this one's well worth it for any fan of Once Upon a Time in China, Swordsman II, or any of Jet's other films.
Brigitte Lin - a very good fan site, with filmography, photos galore and more.

GENERAL HONG KONG FILM SITES:

The Girls Guide to Hong Kong Movies - Fun site about the Hong Kong movie men
Hong Kong Cinema - View From the Brooklyn Bridge - A nice site of lots of Hong Kong cinema reviews, broken down into different categories.
Hong Kong Critics Hong Kong Films - A collection of reviews by a number of different critics, covering almost all HK films for the last few years
Hong Kong Movie Database - The best online site for researching Hong Kong films. Searchable by title or person, includes reviews, synopses, cast lists, etc.
Hong Kong Movie Superstars - Photos, star profiles, etc.
The Internet Movie Database - Still the best site to look up information on general movies - includes cast lists, filmographies, user ratings, awards info and more
Movieworld Hong Kong - The second best searchable HK movie database, with bios, box office and awards info
The Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong) Film Top Ten Box Office Home Page - lots of articles and box office info
Tai Seng - Information on Tai Seng's upcoming and current releases. Includes trailers and photos.

DISCUSSION GROUPS AND E-MAIL:

Mobius Home Video Forum - The absolute best online discussion site for Asian cinema. Regular posters include authors David Bordwell (Planet Hong Kong), John Charles (Hong Kong Filmography, 1977-1997), and many more.
Alt.Asian-Movies - The Usenet group for Tsui Hark, HK cinema and Asian film discussion
Lisa Morton - E-mail the author of this site

WHERE TO FIND THE FILMS:

Five Star Laser - They have it all: New and old DVD's, VCD's, soundtrack and Cantopop CD's, and more (they can even special order titles). Check out their web site for mail order, or, if you're in Southern California, stop by the store on Valley Blvd. in San Gabriel, and then enjoy any of the great restaurants in the area.
Poker Industries - Great mail order service, terrific selection (they also carry Korean and Japanese titles).
DVD Planet - An overall great selection of DVD's, with lower prices than almost anyone, and fast shipping.
HK Movie - Want a poster from Peking Opera Blues or a Time and Tide lobby set? This is the place! Great service, excellent selection (if they don't have it in stock, they can usually get it for you), and easy to deal with. If you're in Hong Kong, check out the store itself. They also carry DVD's and VCD's.
Twinkle - Another great movie memorabilia store in Hong Kong, with mail order service for gweilos.
Ebay - Although I don't recommend ebay for new films (which you can often get cheaper at one of the above sites!), it's worth cruising for the occasional old or obscure film or poster.
